Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I began as a volunteer at Chesapeake Beach Va in 1954 and have continue to be a member in fire dept since. I wanted to serve my community and make a difference in peoples lives.

I AM GIVING BACK TO MY COMMUNITY
Top Issues Facing Responders:
COST OF LIVING MAKES IT EXTEMELY HARD FOR VOLUNTEERS TO RESPOND AT ALL TIMES AS EMPLOYERS ARE NOT AS CONCERNED AS YEARS BACK. RAINING TAKES MANY HOURS OF SCHOOL AND IT IS HARD TO FIND THE TME TO ATTEND SCHOOL AND WORK A JOB.

Welcome to the family where the language and reasoning important the Border is not in our work is to save lives regardless of color, religion or social position, much less. The important thing in our work does not need language to communicate, or borders to help.
