Why I Joined Fire/EMS

Family and desire to help people.My dad was a fireman and so was my brother...I know some of us are now "firefighters",but I am a fireman.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

it is rewarding to help people.

Top Issues Facing Responders:

budget cuts and lay offs,politics and a culture of new applicants going into the fire service for the wrong reasons-ie perception that it is a good part time job so you can supplement your in come with pay/benifits from the fd and priority elsewhere.
