I joined the fire service as a junior member when I was 14, following after my step-father. I was first certified as a medical response technician when I was 16. I then went on to earn my FF 1 and EMT-B when I turned 18. When I moved to my new town I joined the local FD and ambulance dept. where I have been for the past 11 years. I made my way up through the ranks to become a Lieutenant in the FD and a captain in the ambulance. I am married and have 3 children who have all shown interest in joining the dept. when they are older.
Day Job:
Communications technician
Relationship Status:

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I joined the fire/ems service following my family. I then found how much I enjoyed it and have stayed with it and continued my fire & ems training to this day.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
I enjoy helping people and contributing to my community.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Lack of funding is probably the number 1 top issue facing responders. It leads to lack of man power, lack of equipment, and lack of training.
