Other Past or Current Departments and Organizations
was an intern with marquette township fire in
2006-2007. 2007-2008 on chocolay township fire. 2008-2009 on shaes department.
My Training:
Fire I and II. Hazmat awareness and operations. Wildland fire certificate. working on EMT-basic license.
About Me:
im almost 21. ive been in the fire service for three years. im working on getting my EMT-basic license and move on to medic in the fall. Im going to school to get my fire science degree and after medic ill be going for my RN as well. Fire fighting is a huge part of my life. It completes me. without it, i would be lost. Ive had two house fires when i was younger and it was the hardest thing to go through. the department that resonded had a hard time arriving in a timely manner. and thats why i joined. The department was not even three houses away and i stared at the bay doors waiting for them to open while my house was going up in flames. ill never forget that night. I want to be able to help ppl in need. plus its exciting and extremely fun. :)
Hi Kristen,
I see your from South Haven. does Covert Twp. still exist? I use to work for Covert Twp. P.D. (probably before your time (78-80)). I do Fire Photography in Las Vegas, NV now. How are things in South Haven? I imagine pretty tough these days. I hope you have a safe and lengthy career. Best wishes to all there.
