Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I'm a journalist and have worked mainly with police, but have ties to the EMTs/firefighters here as well. I tend to write articles aimed at those in the field to help them do their jobs better. So, the WHY for me is that I felt I couldn't physically do much of what was required in those arenas, so my form of public service is as a back up to help these people do their jobs better and safely.
