About Me:

I'm 47 years old and have been full-time with the Wyoming Fire Department since 1990. Joined as a reserve fire fighter in 1986 and was with the City of Walker Fire Department from 1984-1986.

I've been married since 1984 and have 2 daughters and 1 grandson.

Top Issues Facing Responders:

budget cuts and lack of adequate manpower. We responded to over 5,300 calls in 2008 running from 1 manned station. Our minimum manning is 5 personnel which occurs more often than not. We operate on 24 hour shifts with up to 8 personnel max. Carrer personnel run an HME Quint and a Ford Excursion as first out medical unit. 2 of the 3 shifts also have a Battalion Chief. The other shift has 2 Lieutenants.
