I have well over 800 fire school hours which consist of basic firefighting, structural fire fighting, HazMat fire fighting, vehicle rescue, crew leader, wildfire containment, vehicle anatomy, Rapid intervention team, and First responder.
About Me:
I am 20 years old a 2007 graduate of Milford High School in Milford Delaware. I held the position of Rescue Captain at age 18. My father is my biggest hero, and I have learned almost everything I know about fire fighting and EMS from him.
Day Job:
I work as a first responder for a private ambulance company
Relationship Status:
In a Relationship
Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I joined Fire/EMS because I grew up around it. My father has been a Fireman for 30 years and an EMT for14 years, so he has inspired me to protect and serve our community like he has
Why I Love Fire/EMS
I get satisfaction in making a difference in someones life wether it be in Fire or EMS
Top Issues Facing Responders:
I believe the top issue facing us is the fact that the public get the wrong ideas about us. I feel that television has ruined our image and will continue to do so. With T.V. shows like Rescue Me, I think the public see us all as alcoholics and sexoholics and dont see any of the good that we do. That show is a poor display of what we do day in and day out and risk our lives to do.
