Why I Joined Fire/EMS
Honestly, I had a exboyfriend that told me I couldn't handle it. I was then in a car accident on my prom day, and the volunteer company I now belong to responded, and the EMT that transported me is my mentor to this day.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
Of course I love the adrenaline, but I find that if I can change one persons life that I come in contact with a day, whether it be direct or indirect, I have achieved the fulfillment of what I desire from my service.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
The ever changing rules and regs that the committees come out with. I am all for the "latest and greatest" and safety, but sometimes you have to wonder what they were thinking.
