My whole first year was devoted soley to firefighting. As an explorer I took about 30 classes, and collected almost 150 hours towards my FF1 cert. I passed the state test, my skills testing the whole nine. When it came time to get my card I couldnt since I was only 17. Now im still 17 and starting my second year at Pierce. Im able to ride along (engine and squad), and on occasion train with the Firefighters. Im extremely grateful for all I get to do as an explorer, because I know in some departments they barely get to do anything.
About Me:
Hey guys,so you already know the name, lets move on to the man and what makes him tick. He's a born fighter, but not in the traditional sense. He stands up for what he believes in and would rather die than fold. He has found true love. No not in a person, But in a calling. It feels so natural to him, to be a firefighter, thats one of his true loves, but certainly not the only. He has a love and respect for America that is bred out of his love for the Corp. In his eyes nothing is mightier, no evil could ever conquer this love, or any of his loves for that matter. Whats makes these things unconquerable and everlasting is the brotherhood that lives within. The strict moral code that puts your life in the hands of the man to your left and his equal and undying love for the same things; Freedom, equality, justice and most of all life.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I started in the fire service on January 1st 2009. As soon as I walked in the bay I fell in love. The trucks, the distinct smell. The way the guys looked out for eachother, the way they gave eachother a hard time,I loved it all.The more I discovered and the more skilled I got the more I loved it. All that aside, the two best things are how I can always, no matter what, count on my people and they can count on me, and the sense of pride that has been instilled in me.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
Its a unique service,I can go up to any firefighter whether it be a friend or stranger and know im in good hands.
