Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I watched Emergency ! Squad 51 old time television, when I was young boy. I told my friends and family that I wanted to be fireman. They told me that I can't work for firefighter because I am deaf. Now look at me, I did and volunteer for Brumley Fire Prot. Dist. for 13 and half years. I got promoted to Lieutenant Safety Officer for 5 years and also I work on Emergency Medical Service and Rescue, too. My son,Tony also firefighter,Lt. Training Officer and interepter for deaf. I am proud for this.

Joseph, welcome to the Nation. I am glad you joined the group. There is lots to do, read and become involved with here. Dont be shy just jump in anywhere and get your feet wet. Your involvement is important to us all. You will get out of this what you put into it. May take some time to kinda figure it all out but I have found this site well worth the effort. Have fun and be safe.
