Why I Joined Fire/EMS

September 11, 2001. Always had an interest in firefighting, and becoming such was solidified by the events of 9/11.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

I enjoy it.

Top Issues Facing Responders:

Scene Safety for EMS workers, especially inner-city EMS. I deal with this issue all the time while working paid EMS in the city of Niagara Falls, NY and Buffalo, NY. Firefighting is many times hindered by anxiousness and this sometimes causes carelessness
