About Me:
I served as the County of Erie NY Deputy Fire Coordinator for 13 years, responsible for operating 3 firefighter training facilities with a staff of 21 instructors. Responding to large scale emergencies and supporting a County wide Haz-Mat Team. While with the county I founded the J-F.I.R.E. Program of WNY, Inc. and the Fallen Emergency Service Providers (FESP) program in coordination with The 100 Club of Buffalo.

I left county employment to take a newly created Fire & Life Safety Manager position with the University of New York at Buffalo. In this position I was responsible for plans review, systems inspection & maintenance, fire code compliance, emergency response and fire safety education. I held this position for ten years. During this time my staff and I created and implemented numerous programs enhancing the safety of life on the University's three campuses. Creation of an off campus housing collation made-up of area colleges, local governments, fire departments and neighborhoods. we were successful in causing needed changes in the quality of off campus student housing.

I consider myself to be a professional volunteer fire fighter, having served as past chief of my department, and a current fire fighter instructor for Erie Co. NY.

From the beginning of my career my focus has been on Prevention and firmly believe that prevention is all to often the step child of the American fire service.
