About Me:
Pretty simple person. I'm a volunteer with the company listed, have been for the last five years or so. I started of course as a "probie" a base firefighter, the grunt. :-). I've moved up from a truck captain (which in our dept is a position responsible for common truck maintenance and equipment upkeep). To a line captain which duties are on scene support for chiefs, such as watching over interior operations, water supply (tanker shuttles), or exterior operations. I'm also now a president of the board this year "2010".

Layed off...

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
Helping people, their properties, and homes. :-)
Why I Love Fire/EMS
Helping people the biggest part. I came upon a MVA about six years ago. Helped the family out. Ya, know one of those stories. Grandpa was taking the grandson for a ride on the harley. Grandson asked him to ride no handed. Well he did and he got into some loose gravel on the side of the road. Long story short after awhile in the hosiptal grandpa was okay. The grandson jumped off the bike and rolled through a lawn, a miracle but he didn't have very much wrong with him just so scraps and bruising.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
I think there is a little to much political bullhonky. There is also the everyday problems, such as clicks and power hungry people. That aren't really committed to the department for helping people and their community. But to reach some self satisfaction and title for themselves. Phew, feel better getting that off my chest. "haha"
