I spent some time as a part-time Firefighter while testing to become a full-time Firefighter in Darien-Woodridge, IL. My first full-time Firefighter job was in Wooddale, IL
My Training:
Currently I am an IL state certified FFIII, Fire Officer II, Instructor II, and an EMT-P. I have an Associtates Degree in Fire Science and I am a member of our technical rescue team.
Relationship Status:
Married
Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I got into it for the excitment and the fact that each day brings a new challange. I also love the community that I live and grew up in and joining the local Volunteer department was a way for me to help the people in my community. It also led me to a career as a full-time paid Firefighter for which I thank my lucky stars every day for, this is the best job in the world.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
The Challange.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
The future, our Firefighters and more so our Officers being less experienced. (more educated in my opinion, but less actual experience due to fires and other emergencies being down). This is our challenge as training officers; making training as realistic, but still safe, as possible.

Hey Bro,
Hope you don't mind this message, but I'm trying to make a Chicago connection for a business opportunity that is going through the FDNY. More and more members are signing up daily. Its only in three states presently but will eventually be in all fifty. It has to do with the deregulation of gas and electricity. If you know anyone who's looking to make a second income, please let me know. Thanks and stay safe!
