Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I'm a third generation firefighter following in the footsteps of my dad and late grandfather. I enjoy the job dearly because I know I have the training I need to help those who need help. It only takes a moment to change someones life, even if it means the only thing you salvage from a fire is a photo album.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
The ability to help those in need

You can keep it for now. I know that are time is coming. I work evenings this weekend and overnights next. My next overnights is in 5 weeks. Might have to do some plowing then. We just finished renumbering one of our rwy. So that means have to keep that in mind when drive on the surfaces. They should have the new rwy up and running by mid-summer. More grass to mow and snow to plow. Yeah me.

Jeff,
Sorry I did not get back to you sooner. I would love to see staffing increase. We currently run two guy per 8 hr shift. From 0000 to 0530 we staff with one. We are also tasked with doing other duties. Technically we are Operation guys that do ARFF. So that means doing braking actions, snow removal, grass mowing and what ever pops up. I would like to see staffing numbers at least 3 but would like to see 4. But with budgets I do not see that happening. Talk w/ you later I have to check in a load of Jet fuel.
Keep it safe out there
