- I am certified in operations rope rescue, pump operations, level one first responder medical, defibrillator operator, I have numerous courses completed in the prevention and company officer programs at my province's fire college, I will be certified in tech level confined space rescue in Sept. Also specialized training in truck operations, trainer facillitator courses and soon will be certified to teach pump operations. I am also working toward becoming a provincial certified firefighter.

- Top Issues Facing Responders:
- The everchanging role we are asked to play. Gone are the days of the numerous five alarm blazes, we need to know haz-mat, tech rescues, be medically proficient and maintain a good public relationship through prevention and education. Todays firefighters wear many more "hats" than those who came before us.
