My Training:

Started on the structual side with CDF in 1997, went to the Forest Service in the summer of 2000 and from there to Miramar fire in 2003. I've been through two full academies, one was structual and the last was the Forest Service Apprentice program.

About Me:

I'm 32, married no kids yet. Very outgoing, desert in the winter, river in the summer and enjoying life. THE wife and I play softball dive, hike, snowboard and mountainbike love to be outside. I recently started playing mens fastpitch softball again and can't get enough, I love being apart of a team.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

A friend told me I should join as a volunteer for CDF at the time, so I did, got my first fire and thought firefighting would be a great career.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

Its the best job in the world, you get to give back to the community.

Top Issues Facing Responders:

Changing of the guard, we're losing senior guy and I'm seeing young guys that don't have alot of experience promote, some good and some bad. This is something I've noticed in the last couple of years. We're younger, faster, stonger but still making the same mistakes.
