At age 17 as a volunteer with the Blue Hills (section of Bloomfield) Fire Dept.

Top Issues Facing Responders:

As our National Guard and Military reserves are being deployed to foreign lands, I have a feeling that the nation's FF's and police will be asked to train in roles that are more "military" in nature. We may become more a part of a national guard that encompasses Police/Fire / EMS and military personnel and we could be found functioning in some untraditional roles. The challenge willl be to accept those new roles and be willing to train for them.
