My Training:
I am an Outdoor Emergency Care Technician. I received my training for this through the National Ski Patrol in Tahoe, CA. I am still currently volunteering for that agency. I have a Firefighter 1 certification. I trained at Santa Rosa JC to receive that certification. I have S130, S131, and S190 as well as Confined Space Awareness. I train with my deptartment every thursday.
About Me:
FEARLESS, INTENSE, EXCEPTIONAL, FEROCIOUS, INTELLIGENT, GRACIOUS, HONORABLE, TENACIOUS, ENERGETIC, RIGHTEOUS... SOME OF THE WORDS THAT CAN DESCRIBE ME. I WAS BORN IN NAPA, CA. I WAS RAISED THERE. I GRADUATED FROM SAINT HELENA HIGH, AN TWO WEEKS BEFORE I GRADUATED I BECAME A VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTER. I PLAN ON MAKING A CAREER OUT OF FIREFIGHTING. I DIDNT ALWAYS WANT TO THOUGH. IV ALWAYS HAD AN INTEREST in it. AT FIRST WHEN I WAS YOUNGER, I WANTED TO BE A COWBOY. RIGHT... THEN I WANTED TO BE A HUNTING GUID. THAT CHANGED TO A PASSION. I LOVE THE OUT DOORS. THEN I GOT IN TO ART. I CAN DRAW A CARTOON LIKE NO OTHER. BUT THEN I REALIZED THE ART PEOPLE WERE NOT MY TYPE. SO WHEN I STARTED AT SHFD, I REALIZED I COULD HAVE A CAREER IN FIREFIGHTING AND IN THE OUTDOORS. SO IM LOOKING TOWARDS CDF. I WOULD LOVE TO BE A CITY FIREFIGHTER AS WELL. BUT IT JUST DOESNT DO IT FOR ME LIKE THE OUTDOORS. I GET A LOT MORE OF A RUSH FROM A WILD LAND FIRE. IM A FOURTH GENERATION FIREFIGHTER. I WILL BE THE FIRST TO MAKE IT A CAREER. NOW A LITTLE ABOUT MY PERSONALITY. I LIKE TO THINK THAT IM A DECENT GUY. THAT I NEVER DO WRONG AND THAT IM ALWAYS IN A GREAT MOOD. BUT HELL WHO CAN REALLY SAY THAT? BUT WHAT I CAN DO IS TRY. I CAN ADAPT TO ANY PERSONALITY OR ENVIRONMENT, BUT IM VERY STUBBORN. IM EXTREMELY FAST TO FIGURE A PERSON OUT. I EITHER LIKE A PERSON OR I DONT, WITH IN A FEW MINUTES. I PICK MY BATTLES. I CAN ALSO BE VERY FLEXIBLE. I HAVE SOME GREAT HOBBIES. I LOVE TO JUST GO FOR WALKS IN THE WOODS. I CAN PICK A HILL AN JUST WALK UP NOT STOPPING FOR HOURS... HUNTING COMES ALONG WITH THE TERRITORY. I LEARNED IT ALL FROM MY DAD. HE TAUGHT ME EVERYTHING. I LOVE FOUR WHEELING, AN BOGGING! I LIKE TO WATCH RACES AT THE TRACK. I LIKE TO CAMP. CAMP FIRE STORIES ARE THE GREATEST. I COULD GO ON FOREVER. PRETTY MUCH ANYTHING OUTDOORS. I LOVE IT. I LIKE TO LEARN KNEW THINGS. NEW AND DIFFERENT THINGS EVERY DAY. I LIKE TO MEET KNEW PEOPLE. I LIKE TO TALK TO THEM IT GIVES ME A CHANCE TO TALK TO PEOPLE. ITS A GOOD SKILL TO BE ABLE TO TALK TO SOME ONE I DNT KNOW. I LIKE TO LISTEN TO PEOPLE TELL ME WHAT THEYRE ALL ABOUT. SO HIT ME UP... IM WAITING.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I Love the fire service. I am a volunteer in St. Helena, and I am currently looking forward to starting EMT at the Napa Valley JC. After which, I will start the beginning of my Fire career as full time firefighter. I am going to apply everywhere. I looked at this website and saw an opportunity for advice and lessons learned, as well as a way to keep up to date in the field. This will also be a way for me to network and learn more about Fire and EMS. Fire/EMS looks like a great place to start getting to know the people who I will, hopefully, soon be working with.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
Family. in Fire/EMS we see people at their worst. As a family we are always there to pick each other up. The rush is fantastic. I get to learn new things every day, I get to meet people. Every day there is something to look forward to, or a new position to fill. I love everything about it. Everything I have experienced I have loved. I want to be able to wake up every morning and say wow. I get to go to work again! I would be thrilled to go. I'm inspired by the following quote, "Firefighters are not heros because of what they do... Firefighters are heros because of what they may be called to do." Its all amazing!
