Top Issues Facing Responders:
Alot of what i see is with the decline in the fire world volunteer wise we are being forced to bring people in and throw them in the mix while either under traing or burning them out. I see people in command positions that are not ready by any means to handle the mental stress that comes with it, nor the understanding of what actually comes with it, i say this only because i was the Tower LT for some time with my fire department and i can honestly say that i was given a rude awakening by trial and fire. I also see that with todays responses that our people are not getting the structure responses that we have had in the past making it harder to become more expirenced and also seeing more of the medical world intermixing with medical more and more each year...which falls back onto training and how much we have/chose to implement on the basis of saftey
