My "partner in crime" at work, he's trying to get on with Cal Fire this year and should be heading your way to introduce himself in the Santa Cruz area. You get picked back up this season or they keep you for full time?

My buddy mitch is going to the ione academy for 6 weeks starting today actually so that he can claim his full time. he got lucky and didnt get laid off, but has been thru a few stations between monterey and pebble beach. just went and checked out the headquarters and pebble beach a couple months ago...it was cool.

nope never got a job with CDF...
working as an EMT finally tho. After the pool closed at my work, they offered me a EMT/Security position, so been doing that! =) its fun...

Yeah anything you could tell me about the interview would be awwweeeesome! I was going to get together with the Captain this week, but i don't knwo if it's going to work out. I know him because we became friends on facebook, I added him cause he works at Clemments fire right down the highway (town over) from my dept, Mokelumne. And so we became friends and he comments on the pic of me next to one of his rigs there, Clemments was the first dept I ever passed to be a volunteer for (lived outside the district tho so it never panned out). But yeah we just started chatting from there, had lunch for his bday and that's how I know Capt. Rob. lol. Good guy.

So you on for this season again? My buddy from my station, John has an interview for santa cruz. Hopefully he gets it so I have a place to stay when I go out that way! lol. but he has 2 other interviews, so just hope he gets one of the jobs like I get one of my 2.

He said I am so in tho "cause I'm a woman" yeah we will just have to see if that is right...after all these years of hearing that crap, we shall see!
Then I told him my 2nd interview is with a woman fire chief and he said "yeah, you've got that job! shit...." lol...
liek i said we shall see, I'm really really bad at interviews...I hate pannel boards with a passion. 3 guys sitting there judging you. every girls worst nightmare! lol...especially fire guys judging you cause ur gunning for a job with them! lol. =) Everyone usually loves me when they meet me tho, so hopefully I can win them over with my charm =D and the little background I have with the FD. aint much, but it's a start...I got drive, can't deny that...

I shoudl have my NREMT here in March...taking my time, make sure i know this shit..that test is HARD!

So u didnt have expierence and then you got ur ff1 and nremt while working for CDF?

I hope to be on with CAL FIRE this season. I have an interview in Mendocino and Plumas-Modoc next week...hopefully it goes well, either one would be a great location for me. My two favorite lakes are near by those. Clear Lake and Eagle Lake so couldn't get any better...Altho I wouldn't have mined Santa Cruz either..lol.
