The better question is, "Why wouldn't you want to join the emergency services?"

Why I Love Fire/EMS

I get to go home everyday and be proud of who I am and what I do for others.

Top Issues Facing Responders:

Training and education. That also includes those who took a class 15 years ago, never applied it, and still feel that they actually have a clue as to what they are talking about. We must continue to stay up to date so as to not endanger ourselves and our crews because we have little, none, or antiquated education. I do understand that that can be difficult due to our truncated time tables, but we should have control over the content and time we spend during drill nights atleast.
