Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I had friends that were volunteers and I thought it would be a great chance to do something most other people don't get a chance to do. My passion eventually led me into a fulltime profession.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
What else am I really going to do? I would much rather be fighting a fire/training to fight a fire then hanging out with my family. (I really hope you sense the sarcasm). But really, sometimes the communities momentary needs mean much more on a grand scale then my time watching TV.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Firefighter health and fitness; volunteer firefighter retention; firefighter training; departments declining revenues with rising costs as well as issues of declining ALL HANDS/WORKING fires....just to name a few
