About Me:

I loved going to work everyday. Best crews and calls ever. Station 4 was my home away from home. We had never ending calls with fires and lots of trauma ems everyday. "Four the Hard Way, Hard-way Four". E4, T4, R4, R204. "Second in" for the "Downtown Dogs".

Retired. I am now a "Custodian of Recreation".

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I grew up in the rescue business. From the Boy Scouts to young adult. Climbing, diving, wilderness, and cave/mine rescue were all a part of my youth. I realized that firefighting and rescue was my calling. Tested for three departments and was hired by all three. I chose Las Vegas City Fire Dept. for the benefits and "Civil Service Protection".

Why I Love Fire/EMS

"A new day, a new challenge".

Top Issues Facing Responders:

Biohazards and manning issues. Firefighters are the real "go to folks". There isn't going to be anyone to do anything if the firefighters, ems,and planning don't solve the problems of dense populations and the problems that come.
