Why I Joined Fire/EMS

Hard to answer. Probably because every once in a whle, I make a difference in someone's world.

Top Issues Facing Responders:

Personal burnout, time constraints, and apathay of the public. In Onondaga County, NY it seems the 911 center delights in over use of the volunteers. Six departments to a fire alarm is over kill. Training, safety, support and equipment are excellent, at least in my Department.
