firefighter 1,2 Fire officer 1,2,3 Assoc in Fire science, working toward BS in Fire admin. Fire instructor 1 in Mo, Michigan Provisional instructor status. My cert book is 3 inches thick so Ill just keep it brief.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

Third generation firefighter
grew up around the fire station with many family members in the fire service

Why I Love Fire/EMS

The cookies at christmas...lol no actually the feeling you get from knowing you did the right thing

Top Issues Facing Responders:

funding, funding, and the me generation; the up and comming generations of future firefighters need to feel that they are appreciated and they need to know what the department is doing for them. While this entitlement generation is only a few short years apart from us X-geners, there are times when opinions are greatly different. We all are here to do the same job and we all need to learn to understand eachother.
