About Me:
A 1971 graduate of Widener University College of Nursing, I worked several years as an ER staff nurse at local Crozer-Chester Medical Center, then later, was the ER manager at Philadelphia's Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. In the 1970's I helped pioneer the development of educational programs for EMTs, Paramedics and ER Nurses. I was active in Emergency Medical Services System development nationwide; directed the establishment of the EMS program in Delaware County, PA; was the first Chief of EMS in Chester, PA – one of the first paramedic programs in the Northeastern US and was also instrumental in Pennsylvania statewide EMS initiatives and innovations.

From 1977-80 I served as Director of EMS for New York City where my accomplishments included categorization of NYC’s 77 Emergency Departments and creating the NYC EMS Academy. Following a short stint as Director of the South Florida EMS Coordinating Council (Miami, FL), in 1980 I became a nurse entrepreneur and started is own emergency training and consulting company.

Since 1980, my company, Emergency Training Xcellence, Inc. (ETX), has been applying the advances of EMS Systems to the needs of industry and government agencies on land, at sea, in the sky and on the rails. Just Say KNOW. I and my staff have conducted these programs throughout the US and in over 24 countries, as well as aboard countless ocean going oil tankers, inland waters tug boats and deep sea drilling rigs for companies and agencies such as: Sun Oil, Comcast, Amtrak, United Airlines, MTL Shipping, the PA Medical Society, Royal Jordanian Airlines, the FBI, The Association of Builders & Contractors (ABC) and the NHL’s Philadelphia Flyers.
