extensive. State Fire Instructor Levels 1 and 2. Level 1 Arson Investigator.I would love to continue with Arson Investigation. You name it, I have taken it. I have the qualifications to be ranked as Firefighter1 and Firefighter2, . I was an EMT for several years, but now just do basic first responder.
About Me:
I am a broken 39 yrs old firefighter. Divorced, a class B- firefighter. I want to be a chief before I retire. I have been firefighter of the year, as well as being awarded the first ever Lifetime Achievement award in the fire company. I am only 5 feet tall but I have had extensive spinal surgery that should have ended my career. That is why I stand 5 feet instead if 5'9"..Ready to hop on board

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
to give back to the community as a way of saying thanks for help that they did for me and my family. Besides, driving the trucks and fighting the fires are just way too cool.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
There is no better job out there, paid/volunteer
Top Issues Facing Responders:
manpower, as well as making sure that those responding with company apparatus are properly trained to do so. we also face issues where NFPA 1500 states that we need to do things a certain way, and budget concerns or the excuse that thats not how we used to do that are used, and people are still getting killed in the line of duty.
