I am firefighter 1 cert in state of New Jersey, Vehicle rescue Tech, In emt class. Planing on taking alot more but with family it takes a toll on training....

About Me:

I always wanted to do something with emergency services.... Was scared of firefighters when I was younger. Joined ems when i was 15 years old due to the fire department not taking members under the age of 16 and at that they were JRs and couldn't do much... When i hit 18 i joined the fire service and got into fire school and graduated soon after.... I am primary firefighter.... I like the fire services more then ems but you always need ems thats why I said hell ill get my emt....

Why I Love Fire/EMS

Being able to put a smile on someones face after taking care of their problem no matter what it is....

Top Issues Facing Responders:

Paid vs. Volunteers. Alot of paid personal dont want the volunteers but who are the ones waking up in middle of the night to back them up and not getting a check at the end of the week from the fire department... Us the volunteers..... There are many career departments in my local but we all get along with out a problem....
