My Training:: I am mod 1 certified, cpr,emd, and i only have 2 1/2 months left of EMT class !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

About Me:: husband and 2 of my sons are active in fire dept/rescue operations. I have 3 boys and 1 girl and my 1st grandchild was born in oct 2007. he is a grani boy!!!!!!

Why I Joined Fire/EMS: I Love to help people in need . i am not big on the hot stuff..fire... but the medical side is me. I love to read other ff's and medic's stories of there experiences. i gain knowledge and respect from them. i just love excitement!!!!!! and helping someone in distress see another day if at all possible

Why I Love Fire/EMS: i love helping ppl and making sure they are safe

Top Issues Facing Responders:: I think our safety is a big issue, because there are so many "IN CHARGE" without the proper training .

FALLEN FIREFIGHTERS IN TYLER, TEXAS 2007

I have a brother in law in kilgore texas who is asking about a fire in tyler which killed 2 volunteer firefighters. I s there anyone out there who can tell me where to find the info on this or do u know anything about this fire. It is said the chief sent volumteers into something they had no business going into.

Everyone I know of has had some kind of hurdle to jump before getting through National Registry and/or State of Georgia. My first one with the state was that I did not have my high school diploma, I provided a certified/sealed copy of transcipts, but they weren't sure if that was good enough. I graduated HS in 1979, I have no idea where that sucker went.
