I started in the fire service when employed as a correctional officer with the Ky Department of Adult Corrections, in Lagrange, Kentucky in 1969.
My Training:
Fire and first aid training has been a yearly practice since 1969
About Me:
I started in the fire service when employed as a correctional officer with the Ky Department of Adult Corrections, in Lagrange, Kentucky in 1969. We had a full time inmate fire departmetnt with correctionl officers trained as firefighters. Correctional officers also trained in the use of water pressure to controll prison riots. The prison Fire department also responded to fires in the city of Lagrange and Oldham County with the area volunteer fire department.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
At first it was part of my job, then after moving back to Morgan County, it was to support my Community.
