Why I Joined Fire/EMS: My father was an EMT. I grew up listening to his stories and always wanted to get into emergency services. The firefighting part was just a bonus!

FF I & II update

I enrolled in an online FF I & II course that starts March 13. Has anyone taken a course like this before that can offer any input or advice?? Any help is appreciated.

Well it looks like I might be back in business!! I applied for a full time FF job yesterday and my chances look pretty good. Now, I'm not gonna blow it and say where, let's just say, it's in NC. lol The only hold up is that my certs from Michigan are not IFSAC and won't transfer, so I have to re-do the FFI & II classes. That's fine with me. I'm sure there have been some new developments since I was last an active smoke eater. And it really shouldn't take too long. I only work about 9-10… Continue

Hello all!!

Sorry I haven't responded to anyone. I have been "out of the game" for a few days with some minor surgery. All is good now. I am in Myrtle Beach relaxing for 2 days. Hope ya'll have a safe weekend!!
