- Erich Roden is a 21-year veteran of the fire service and a Battalion Chief with the Milwaukee Fire Department assigned to the 4th Battalion. He is the Editor-in-Chief of FireRescue and FirefighterNation.com and is also an editor for Fire Engineering and Urban Firefighter Magazine. He has been a hands-on training instructor at FDIC for more than ten years and gave the FDIC 2014 keynote address. Erich is also an instructor for the Milwaukee Area Technical College and an advisory board member with Underwriters Laboratories’ Fire Safety Research Institute.
