Relationship Status:
Married
Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I live in a small community and most of my family has been or still is part of the fire department. The ambulance service in our area is volunteer and runs 24/7 with only 11 EMT's.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
Be the first in and possibly be able to do some good.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
The lack of new firefighters and emt's. Retention of newbies and veterans. Training, training materials and willingness to train. Safety and health.
Finally a site that has firefighters and ems that actually blog and communicate with each other. Old stories, new stories, ideas and comments traded amongst the ranks. Career and volunteer in one place. WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER. Later.
Welcome over mate! The other place was a nice idea, but it just didn't happen.
