About Me:
I am 44 years old. After I graduated from high school in 1995 I was hired on with a local construction company. I am still with this company today. I love building houses and working with our clients. When I was 22 years old I joined the Milo vol. Fire department. 6 days after my honeymoon with my lovely wife. Since then I have never looked back on my decision. We have 5 lovely children. In 2009 I moved my family to Lacona, Ia. to the country. I then Joined the Lacona vol. Fire Department. Since then I became Lieutenant on the dept. As of January 1, 2021 I have taken another position with the dept. as the new Training Officer. We are a older dept. as far as our members ages, so its going to be a little challenging for me to come up with training ideas and hands on. But no matter what age anyone is we all need to be reminded and trained again to go home safe after a fire, a rescue call.

Carpenter Foreman

Married
Why I Joined Fire/EMS
To get involved in my community. To give back to my community.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
Having the love of brother and sisterhood throughout the Nation, that others will never know about till they join a fire department.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Technology in vehicles (using extrication)
Technology in our homes these days ( entry into homes, combustion points) media, innocent bystanders with cell phone cameras (did we do all that we could to help or save lives)
