Why I Joined Fire/EMS

My Dad was a Firefighter when I was a kid growing up. This is what got me interested in it. I was able to join when I turned 18 and have been involved with the Fire Department ever since. Also, my 21 yr. old son is a member.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

Just the thought of helping people in need. And being involved in the Brotherhood of Firefighters.

Top Issues Facing Responders:

VOLUNTEERS....There needs to be more government funding for Firefighter positions so that smaller communities don't have to solely rely on volunteers. The day of the volunteer is slowly surpassing us and if plans aren't made to adapt, smaller communities will be hurting for Emergency Services.
