I am a First Responder for 6 years. I have been to LSU FETI in Baton Rouge for Industrial Fire Brigade Training, have IFTSTA cert for it. Completed Haz-Mat Awareness level and been IFSTA Certified in it. Have many hours of fire prevention and suppression training.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I joined my local volunteer fire department because I really felt a need to help in the community. I had been thinking about it for quite sometime but at my previous place I had lived my work schedule just didn't allow time for it. But I am really glad I joined after moving back to my home town.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

The feeling I get when I know we did the job right and really helped someone. I really love it when we are able to save the house or buisiness to determine the cause and use this for training purposes.
