Why I Joined Fire/EMS
Hi there! Name's Craig, and I love Fire & EMS, for me it is the perfect vocation...something I've been searching for all my adult life and found; actually with God's help I believe it found me.
To me there is nothing more challenging and rewarding day-to-day, physically, mentally, and spiritually than this profession. We are there to help others at some of the most terrifying, uncertain, and urgent times of their lives. You can't convince me that there is no value in that.
Our training and our work reflect this reality. We are professionals, and this job tests our limits. This is good and necessary; if we don't push our limits, we won't know what our limits are.
We are a band of brothers and sisters who share common experiences and a common love of self-sacrifice for our fellow man, of compassion, and conviction to do what is right.
God, I love this job!
Why I Love Fire/EMS
The rush of bringing proactive compassion to others in some of their worst times, the chance to save lives and property, and the camraderie and tradition of the service.
