Why I Joined Fire/EMS

Proud stepdaughter of a firefighter, loving and proud girlfriend of another. I believe they are some of the most amazing people to risk their lives for others. Definitely crazy as heck/brave to run into a burning building and risk everything to save someone else. I also joined to get to know other women/gf's who deal with these awesome men!

Top Issues Facing Responders:

I think it's people who abuse their authority and find stupid things to compain about such as facial hair touching your mask, or the women in the stations complaining about trivial things the men are doing which aren't even innapropriate. I also believe it's people not doing their job, they just want to be there to get paid but they're too afraid to go charging into a full on fire or run hoses. Finally, I think how the government splits funds between some stations aren't really fair.
