I was a Vol. Firefighter with United Vol. Fire Dept and also a dispatcher for Walton County 911.

EMT, 911 dispatching, FCIC/NCIC, EMD, EFD, CAD, Ham Radio, emeg. radio communications, ETC.....

About Me:

I am 28 years old, a wife of a great guy since Aug. of 98, he is a firefighter for DeFuniak Springs Fire Dept. and a mother of 2 great little boys. I am a stay at home mom. I was a dispatcher for 911 and also a Vol. Firefighter. I did not love the fire side of things as much as my hubby did so I never got the training needed to become a paid firefighter. I liked the other side of things. The phone calls and the dispatching of them. I was an EMT and also a nursing student that but have never gone to work as a nurse. My life revolves around my kids and My Hubby and I am very happy just the way things are. I read a lot and hang out with very close friends and enjoy doing nothing other that day to day stuff with the family. One day I will figure out what I want to do for a living but untill then I am happy just as I am.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I was asked to join by several of the firefighters I dispatched while working at 911 and I wanted to do something with my hubby that we could both enjoy.
