About Me:

My name is Chris. I have been a firefighter for about 8 years now. I absolutley love it! I am currently a member of two stations where I am a firefighter and a driver. I love to train, and feel it is the most important part of firefighting. I hate "T-shirt firefighters," people who wear the shirts, have the lights, carry the pager, brag about it to everyone they know, get to a fire, and have no friggin' clue what to do. I also am a huge Philadelphia sports fan, and I play hockey, and softball for the firehouse team.

Top Issues Facing Responders:

TRAINING!!!!!!!!!!! Way to many firefighters are undertrained, usually the result of bad leadership. If a new guy joins a department with bad leaders who haven't taken a training course in years, and don't train in-station, this new guy won't know any better, and will continue the tradition of untrained firefighters.
