Chad At the time I pushed for this implementation of the reflective tape, our ladders were not marked. We did not worry about NFPA since , in reality, they did not have any guidelines on this issue. After testing at the fire academy and some truck companies, it was approved. The top 3 rungs of all ground ladders, including the scuttle hole or attic ladder and the entire legnth of the roof ladder so a nasty trip could be avoided. To safe some cost, your public works /treet dept. may have some extra tape and try and borow some of them because it is expensive. Easy to clean but easy to see as well at night.
