About Me:

I am an university student almost finished my degree in Sociology, who perused higher education as a challenge to myself, but have realized there is nothing for me in those fields as far as careers go. Firefighting runs in my family from my great grand father who single handedly raised money for our small towns fire engine , to my uncle Lorne who died in a freak firetruck accident.
I am interested in a career fighting fire, but I am concerned about making such a drastic life choice without a bit more education on the matter.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I have yet to join. I joined this site seeking more information about joining Fire Services in Canada, what it entails, requires. I have thought long and hard and I cannot think of a more enthusing, rewarding and challenging career that would demand more from myself than this.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

I would like to help people and actually have a job I can live with myself for having.
