My Training:
Name it. If it has to do with fire or law, I probably have taken it.
About Me:
My name is Bryan Simpson and I live life dangerously. I run with scissors, I ride a bike without a helmet and I use products in ways other than directed by the manufacturer. You ask yourself how can he do it? I’m just that EXTREME! I’m a naturally low key guy that has a wild side. I’m a married 28 year old male, with a baby on the way. I like long walks, puppy dogs and I cried when ol' yeller died... I'm all about having fun..You know get a couple drinks in me...start a fire in someone's kitchen.....I sometimes go to Sea World and take my pants off...But anyway...People seem to like me because I'm rarely late...I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a good pair of pants...A doctor has told me I have an I.Q. of 48...And what is some people call...MENTALLY RETARDED...

Now that I have your attention...Hello, I really hope I am writing in the right area. I am sure I will soon find out when my grade is "not" shown. :) My name is Bryan Robert Simpson and I live in the small town of Gridley, California. If you don't know where that is...don’t worry, it's normal. Gridley is located 100 miles north of Sacramento, CA and if you are educated on your party towns, I am 30 miles south of Chico, CA, the home of CHICO STATE.

I am 28 years old and work as a Deputy Sheriff for the Sutter County Sheriff Department. In August, I ended my life and purposed to a beautiful women named, Kristy. She also works for the Sutter County Sheriff Department. I have just recently been advised I am going to be a daddy. I am scared out of mine, but I am looking forward to the new challenge ahead.

I work really weird hours. I work 60-90 hours a weeks. Some of my shifts are as long as 16-18 hours a day. In law enforcement, anything over 10 hours is WAY too long. I have been a deputy sheriff for 4 years. I have a German Shepherd, which I am training as a protection dog.

I am use to working long hours. Since 1996, I worked as a Fire Apparatus Engineer (FAE) and as an EMT for three different ambulance companies. A FAE is just a fancy word for a fire truck driver. After working as a FAE and EMT for over 12 years, I became an idiot and went to the dark side...I became a cop. Being a cop is fun, but it's very challenging and wears you down. I write reports ALL THE TIME at work, because that is what cops do best...I am interested to see how well I write a COLLEGE paper, since all I write now is how I "wrongly accuse the fine innocent citizens" of my county (That's a inside cop joke, because everybody thinks their innocent even though you catch them red-handed)

I have two degrees (AS/AA), which I obtained from a locate college. I have over 120 college credits from taking college courses all over California. I love to learn new things and I love going to school. I am taking this course so I can someday sit behind a desk, push paper, have regular coffee breaks and make decisions that will be second guest by new officers (That's another inside joke).
Day Job:
Deputy Sheriff
Relationship Status:
Married
Why I Joined Fire/EMS
My father and mother are paramedics. My father now is a Fire Chief for a local city. I decided to become an idiot and fork the family tree by switching to law enforcement. :)
Why I Love Fire/EMS
I love helping people.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
The public either loves you or hates you....
