I have been an industrial first responder at a factory I worked in before.

My Training:

I have had extensive training in fire ops, fire science, ems, hazmat, pump ops, extrications, confined space rescues, really way too much to mention without boring you. lol. I also continue my education every year so I stay current on everything.

About Me:

I'm native American. Born and raised in east Texas. I have three beautiful girls 23, 16 and 14. I am divorced and I am raising the two youngest on my own. I work in a factory making air conditioners. When I'm not at work or the station, the girls and thier friends and I are always on the go camping, boating, fishing, skiing, rodeoing, soccering, southern belle drill teaming LOL. I do it all and I've been called the toughest soccer/cheer mom they know. LMAO.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I joined the fire department and became an emt because I enjoy making a difference when everything seems to be out of control with no hope at all. I enjoy people's faces and hearing thier comments after you just stepped in and help make a difference in thier lives.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

I like making a positive difference in the community and it's something I enjoy.

Top Issues Facing Responders:

Our sister station next to us lost two firefighters last august. Alot of times in the rural volunteer fire departments our biggest weaknesses are outdated equipment and under trained personel or not enough personel to rehab on big fires and we have to cut corners and imprevise to get the job done which more times than not puts us in harms way.
