Why I Joined Fire/EMS

My dad was the firechief for about 25 years on my small town's (of 600) volunteer fire dept. He started his 50th year on the dept this past October. I loved being up there with him as a kid and had a real interest in EMS as well because of him. I also wanted to give something back to my community and show the guys that girls can be good firefighters.
