I started my service as a "Paid on Call" firefighter/ paramedic in a nearby suburb. When I was working there I was sent through a Fire Academy. I then went through the Paramedic course.
My Training:
I am currently a full time Firefighter/Paramedic. aim also crossed train in many fields. I am also a fire apparatus engineer, I can drive/operate the fire engine during fire operations. I am also part of my Fire a Departments TRT (technical rescue team) and that involves more specialized training. The TRT team responds to: high-angle rescues, trench rescues, structural collapse, and confined spade incidents. I consider myself to be very fortunate to be on this team.

I am 30 years old and I live and work as a Firefighter/Paramedic in a Northwest suburb of Chicago.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I have a military background and I wanted to continue the sons if "brotherhood" in an occupation after my enlistment in the Marine Corps.
