Why I Joined Fire/EMS

To help others. I was 6 classes away from an RN degree when the Bloomfield (MI) Twp FD called to offer me a full time position. I transferred my credits to the paramedic program and the rest is history. I retired from Bloomfield as Asst. Chief in January 2003. I've spent most of my retirement fighting cancer...but no regrets. I've had a great life and a great career. I'm still a member of the Milford (MI) FD with limited activity.
