NPQ Firefighter 1,Wildland Firefighter,Life Safety Educator,Instructor 1,Hazmat ,extrication,Pressurized Containers,structural fire control,arson detection building construction,ICS,pump testing, fire gound hydraulics,I start EMT school in spring (09").

About Me:

I'm 34, 6' feet,175 lbs, brown hair, green eyes. I really like to travel,see different places.I really believe that going off in a burning building is the biggest rush I have ever experienced. I like a lot of outdoor activities. I would like to have a family sometime,but not now.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

Well 9/11 had alot to do with it, but I also have five other family members in the fire service. I would like to give something back to the community. I was also facinated with the aspect as a child growing up.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

I love to help people, just maybe I can prevent a fatality

Top Issues Facing Responders:

I think the biggest issue in the fire/EMS service is the downsizing of the depts. It seems every time I read about a LODD, it was because of a safety issue or risk management analysis gone wrong, or not enough personel avaliable or some burecratic jargon.
