I'm 22 years old and I've lived in East Hampton, CT all my life. I'm finishing up my BA in Criminal Justice at Central Connecticut State University. I'm hoping to land a career in law enforcement someday. I'm a huge gear head and I am the proud owner of a 2005 Dodge SRT-4 with quite a lot of money into it :). I drag race it when I can and bring it to car shows. I live an active life style and I'm always at the gym. The Boston Red Sox and New York Giants are my favorite sports teams.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
To serve my community and to become a stronger, more well-rounded person.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
it pushes to me go beyond personal boundaries and find strength I never knew I had.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Lack of funding and personnel for volunteer agencies, cut backs for paid agencies in tough economic times, closing of fire departments in many cities leading to increased response times.

Amanda, welcome to the Nation. I am glad you dropped in to join the group. Dont be shy just jump in anywhere and get your feet wet. There is lots to do, read and be involved with. Your participation and involvement is important to us all. Takes a bit to kinda figure it all out but you will be glad you did. Have fun and look around.

Welcome to the family where the language and reasoning important the Border is not in our work is to save lives regardless of color, religion or social position, much less. The important thing in our work does not need language to communicate, or borders to help.
Greetings from Mexico.
you’re new friend Filiberto.
